Honda's midsize sedan has spent more than three decades as a critical favorite in its segment, and it's better than ever heading into 2020. The new 2020 Honda Accord brings together sleek styling, impressive performance, and a wealth of available features in a sedan that's ready for daily driving near Westland and Southfield.

2020 Honda Accord Styling and Design

Honda introduced the current generation styling in 2018, and it remains among the freshest looks in the industry. The 2020 Accord features a unique fascia with a drop-down grille design, slim LED headlamps, and subtle chrome trim pieces. Turn to the side view and you'll see that the 2020 Accord has an almost coupe-like silhouette, despite being a convenient four-door body style. It's a sleek and sporty look for a car that focuses heavily on driving engagement.

Entering the cabin, you'll see that Honda has fitted the 2020 Accord with a wide range of standard features in a space that balances aesthetics with ergonomics. From its leather-wrapped steering wheel to its bolstered seats, the 2020 Accord knows how to keep passengers comfortable. Dual-zone automatic climate control helps as well. If you're looking for a premium experience, you can get your 2020 Accord with available wood and aluminum trim pieces, along with leather upholstery.

2020 Honda Accord Technology

The 2020 Accord does not take safety lightly. The new sedan comes with standard Honda SensingĀ® -- a group of driver-assistance technologies that helps to keep West Bloomfield drivers aware and passengers away from harm. Honda SensingĀ® includes:

  • Road Departure Mitigation
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Lane Keeping System
  • Collision Mitigation Braking

2020 Honda Accord Performance

Honda understands that many drivers want cars that do more than get them from point A to point B -- they want cars that give them a memorable experience along the way. The new 2020 Accord reflects that mindset with its engaging, exciting performance features.

The 2020 Accord rides on a balanced, sophisticated independent suspension system. This setup helps to deliver the sedan's excellent handling dynamics. You can also add available adaptive dampers that can improve both handling and comfort. Backing up the well-sorted suspension is a powertrain lineup to admire. The standard 1.5-liter turbocharged engine makes a well-balanced 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the available 2.0-liter turbocharged engine makes 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. There's even a 2020 Accord Hybrid model with a combined 212 horsepower.

Honda Accord vs. the Nissan Maxima

At Suburban Honda, we're big fans of all of our world-class Honda models. They're all high-quality, stylish, and loaded with the amenities our customers want. Whether you want an SUV or a hatchback, we have you covered.

But, when it comes to a roomy, mid-sized sedan or coupe with sophistication and maturity, there's only one apple of our eye, the Honda Accord. If you're curious to see how this beloved model stacks up against the competition, read on. We've put our Honda Accord up against the 2018 Nissan Maxima, and we've found a number of ways the Honda model gives drivers more of what they want.

  • Engine options. The Honda Accord gives drivers a choice between two engines. The standard powertrain is a 192-horsepower four-cylinder, and several trims can come with an optional, more-powerful four-cylinder rated for 252 horsepower. Plus, for drivers who prefer a hybrid powertrain, there's also a 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid Sedan option. The Nissan Maxima, on the other hand, only comes with a single engine, a 300-horsepower V6. There are no other available engines, and no hybrid option, in the lineup.
  • Style. Depending on our personal preferences, the Honda Accord can come in your choice of either a two-door coupe style, or a four-door sedan style. The Nissan Maxima doesn't let drivers choose, as it only comes as a four-door sedan.
  • Standard safety features. While both models come with some advanced driver's aids, the 2018 Honda Accord starts you off with more, right at the base model. Every 2018 Honda Accord comes with a lane departure warning and intervention system, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Comparatively, the Nissan Maxima comes with frontal collision warning, but, it's missing all of those other features, unless you move up trim levels at added expense.

When you're ready to get behind the wheel of our Honda Accord in person, and see for yourself what makes it the best sedan option for Michigan drivers, stop by and visit us. We can introduce you, help you choose the right model for your style, and get you back out on the road in no time.

Honda Accord vs. the Toyota Camry

The Honda Accord has been a favorite model around here at Suburban Honda for a long time. Our Farmington Hills customers appreciate this sedan's ample legroom, standard tech and safety features, and responsive performance. But, now, with a sleek makeover for, our new Honda Accord models are giving us even more to love than ever.

The Honda Accord gives more than most competitors. More cargo room, more legroom, more options, the list goes on and on. But, as great as the Honda Accord is, we know that it's not your only option for a roomy, five-passenger sedan.

The Toyota Camry is a similarly-sized vehicle, and it also underwent a makeover for the new model year. But, how do these two cars stack up against each other? Read on to see all the ways we've uncovered that put our 2018 Honda Accord ahead of the Camry:

  • Options. The Honda Accord allows Michigan drivers to choose from a four-door, traditional sedan, a two-door coupe, or a four-door sedan with hybrid powertrain. The Toyota Camry, on the other hand, does not give drivers as many options, as it's only available in either the traditional or hybrid sedan style.
  • Cargo space. The Honda Accord holds more cargo than the Toyota Camry, with a trunk space in the Honda that can accommodate more than 16 cubic feet. Comparatively, the Toyota trunk only holds around 14 cubic feet of gear.
  • Passenger space. As with cargo room, the Honda Accord also gives you more room inside the car, both for you and your passengers. The Honda Accord leads the 2018 Toyota Camry in headroom, shoulder room, and legroom, both in the front and backseats.

Don't take our word for it, though. Stop by and visit the Honda experts here at Suburban Honda, and see the 2018 Honda Accord model's superiority for yourself. Set up your test drive soon, and see how the 2018 Honda Accord wins in every category, every time.
